PayPal (Payflow Pro) Setup Guide (Sales Orders)

PayPal has a gateway for credit card processing, called Payflow Pro. This is the integration that OpenPro uses for accepting credit cards through PayPal. For more information refer to the link below.

Technical side, setting up the installation process with OpenPro and PAYPAL Payflow Pro

In the OpenPro folder, top-level directory is sqlinfo.php, this stores all the login information for PayPal. Once you have set up the Payflow pro account with PAYPAL, then you have the login information to process the transaction.

this needs to be added and configured with PayPal login information.

In the e-commerce folder, there is file openpro_main.inc. This also needs the paypal login information and setup.

Processing PayPal through OpenPro

Set the terms code for Paypal (see above: Authorize Type).

Order type has to have ECOM order.

Media codes are for tracking your orders by different marketing techniques. When you setup a media code, different customer discounts can be applied to the orders.

During ecommerce processing of the order, click on credit cards.

Then you get the credit card screen, where the card number, expiration date and security code is requested, if the card is accepted the customer will be notified immediately. If the card is declined they will be notified and the order status is waiting for customer to pay.

Put in your credit card numbers.

If the card is rejected, some messages will display on the screen. This is an example of the message for the transaction declined.

Then you will the good transaction on the paypal manager screen. The transactions will be wired to your bank after processing each day.

Credit cards can also be processed in the back office during order entry time or point of sale processing.

Enter in the credit card information and this information stays with the customer and customer order.
