The [[http://wiki.openpro.com/doku.php?id=products:financial:gl-app-guide|Fiscal Period Master]] screen allows you to add a new 12 month period in which the company will account for all transactions This is the accounting period for a company and usually twelve periods, but more or fewer periods sometimes occur, especially in the transition year following a change to the fiscal year-end.

By clicking the **Add Fiscal Year** option, you are presented with a screen to enter new details about your fiscal year.

Current Period:

Reporting Period: This indicates when the accounting is being done

Beginning Date: This indicates start of the 12-month accounting period

Ending Date: This indicates end of the 12-month accounting period
