This Application Guide is designed to orient you through Deposit Processing and Bank Balancing. The guide contains startup information as well as a more detailed overview of the basic business flow. But also has video training sessions by application. ====Basic Process Flow==== This section shows you the overall OpenPro system data flow and integration between systems. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-002.png}} ===Accounts Receivable Deposit Processing=== {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-003.png}} Log into OpenPro, go to Receivables. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-004.png}} This process will show all the deposit runs that were created by either the system (during sales order or POS processing END OF DAY) or individual. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-005.png}} Add details will show you all the cash receipts that have not been processed as either a deposit or in bank balancing process. All that needs to be done is check off the cash receipts. The system will say the transactions have been added and close the screen when done. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-006.png}} When you refresh the screen, the total will be added to the deposit. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-007.png}} Click details will show you the details of this deposit. Broken down by cash, checks, credit card, wire, etc. Edit a deposit entry will give you full capabilities, to close the DEPOSIT. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-008.png}} To close out and make the bank deposit, change the status to CLOSE. ===Bank Reconciliation Balancing Process=== {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-009.png}} This is where all you bank accounts are displayed. OpenPro can handle many bank accounts at one time, but only one can be the default bank account. The Default bank account will show up during cash receipts process, payables check processing, deposit processing, etc. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-010.png}} The edit button gives you details about the bank account, including if the item is a DEFAULT. This information is used for calling, searching bank details. Also what GL account is associated to this bank account. The Last CHECK number is used for payment of payables and or Payroll. If you have multi-currency turned on this will show the default currency account. BALANCE {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-011.png}} If you select Balance, it shows the last time this account has been balanced, and you can change that date to the STATEMENT date. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-012.png}} This will display all the information coming in and being sent out of the checking account. You see Checks from account payable.\\ Deposits From Receivables.\\ Cash Receipts from Receivables.\\ GL transactions that change cash accounts.\\ You can drill down the detail transactions. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-013.png}} Cash receipts. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-014.png}} Deposits {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-015.png}} GL adjustment can be entered in to correct any bank charges, etc. {{products:financial:deposits-bank-balance:image-016.png}} Then you also have history of reports in the reporting process.
